NFDB and State Fisheries Dept officials Hold a Coordination Meeting
Fisheries boards hold meet
Hyderabad: Sabyasachi Ghosh, Special Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry, held a Co-ordination meeting in his chambers with officials of NFDB and State Fisheries Department today at Secretariat.
The following important decisions were taken. The funds allocated under PMMSY 2024-25 available in SNA-SPARSH account shall be utilized by the end of March, 2024. Submit the revised proposal for Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Murrel with an outlay of Rs25 crore under PMMSY-Central Sector Scheme 2024-25 on 100 per cent grant at Yellampalli Reservoir, Mancherial District.
Submit DPR for Recreational Fisheries with an outlay of Rs2 crore at Shamirpet lake of Medchal-Malkajgiri District, Requested the NFDB to clear all the pending insurance cases under Group Accident Insurance Scheme (GAIS) by reconciliation with Fisheries Department.
FDB requested for allocation of additional 10 acres of land adjacent to NFDB office building at Rajendra Nagar for expansion of activities. It is proposed to conduct a meeting with all the District Fisheries Officers on January 7 or 8, 2025 in the NFDB on sensitisation of schemes and funding opportunities.
It is proposed to jointly (NFDB & Dept. of Fisheries) organise Fish Festival 2025, at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road, Hyderabad during February /March 2025 to promote Fish consumption and encourage valve added products.
Dr Bijay Kumar Behera, Chief Executive, National Fisheries Development Board, Hyderabad, P Nehru, Executive Director, NFDB and State Government Officials were participated in the meeting.
